ciao a tutti, ero interessato ad acquistare un vB e volevo sapere alcune cosucce (premetto che sono un utente phpBB da svariato tempo):

1) il "forum" che io andrei ad acquistare comprende anche la pagina portale come questa su vB.it?
2) gli hacks che vorrei installare una volta acquistato il pacchetto sono gratuiti?
3) una volta acquistato il pacchetto posso installare il vB dove voglio? (nel senso lo acquisto come ditta, poi lo posso mettere anche su un sito esterno alla ditta stessa)

un no solamente al portale che devi installare a parte c'e' una versione il CPMS che distribuiscono gratuitamente ma ci sono altri portali completamente compatibili con vb ciao e auguri

Un utente esterno al forum mi ha fatto notare la seguente cosa :

Nella licenza vBulletin è specificato chiaramente che il forum può girare solo su un unico webserver ed è permessa tra l'altro un'unica installazione (salvo per un'altra ed una sola board di test che deve essere chiaramente identificata).

Alla domanda l'utente che risponde ha scritto:

[...]un no solamente al portale che devi installare a parte[...]

Quindi un utente (anche non registrato) che legge le vostre pagine è indotto a pensare che è possibile installare più forum, su più webserver, anche diversi da quello specificato nel form di registrazione sul sito vBulletin.com - Area Customer.

Altro punto a mio avviso errato è:

[...]non puoi eliminare solamente questa voce "Copyright ©2000 - 2006, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd." il resto fai pure[...]

Da questo si intende che un utente è autorizzato a rimuovere, ad esempio, la scritta "Powered by". In realtà la licenza dice espressamente che tutte le scritte riguardanti i copyright non devono nè essere rimosse nè editate.

Per quanto riguarda il Powered By nel tilolo pagina ho i miei dubbi. Infatti può essere legale in qualche paese di richiedere di mantenere questa frase, ma in Italia credo che sia assolutamente legittimo di rimuoverla, in quanto non contiene il copyright. Inoltre, come si può notare in pratica, la stessa scritta viene mostrata solo se il titolo del forum è molto breve.

E last not least, della licenza di vBulletin non si vede una traccia di traduzione, per cui, nell'estensione massima della legge non è applicabile. Se dovesse essere discusso in sede legale, credo proprio che il possessore di una licenza altrimenti rispettata avrà la meglio.

In sostanza tu stai proponendo un "libera tutti" per il solo fatto che non c'è una traduzione della licenza nella lingua di provenienza del cliente?

Beh credo che qualche altro avvocato potrebbe risponderti che, siccome hai cliccato su "register" e hai accettato con i tuoi click la licenza, quello che hai appena detto non fa testo.

Se vai in inghilterra e ci sono i cartelli in inglese e non sai l'inglese allora puoi commettere infrazioni?

e va be dai ho commesso un errore di sbadataggine..ma non e' certo questo che puo' impedire un corretto uso del software.per maggiori spiegazioni sulla legalita' consultate la faq allora senza fare domande trabocchetto di basso livello.per alimentare confusione ed altro e che diamine si perde anche lo spirito di collaborazione di quattro amici sinceri a mio modo di vedere..
