Versione 3.7.0 stabile la prossima settimana
Riporto questa news dal sito di vbulletin.com
As those of you who have been keeping an eye on the bug tracker will probably be aware, the frequency and severity of bugs being reported has dropped right off in the past few weeks, and I believe that it has reached the point where we should declare vBulletin 3.7.0 stable and do a final, 'gold' release.
vBulletin 3.7.0 Stable/Gold will be released in the coming week.
I do not anticipate the release of any further release candidates in the interim period.
Today, we will be updating vBulletin.com to run the final version of the code, and we will allow this to run over the weekend to get some final, extra uninterrupted testing done on a production site.
Needless to say, should you find more bugs over the weekend, don't hesitate to report them as soon as possible so that we can ensure that next week's release will be one of the best ever.
Until next week!should also take this opportunity to point out that while the ongoing vBulletin survey has revealed a very encouraging level of PHP 5 adoption, it has also highlighted a large number of customers still languishing in PHP 4 land.
I recently updated the vBulletin recommended PHP and MySQL versions to PHP 5.2.5 (or later) with an opcode cache such as APC and MySQL 5.0.51 (or later).
If you know that you are running an old version of PHP or MySQL you will find that vBulletin runs much better with the newer versions. Perhaps you could find time before the release of vBulletin 3.7 to take the plunge and get your server up to date, or pester your host to do so?
To reiterate those recommendations, we would suggest the following:
* PHP 5.2.5 or later
* APC or similar PHP cache
* MySQL 5.0.51 or later
