Dipende da quale versione, ma c'è il potenziale pericolo di dover impostare i menu e sottomenu manualmente ... se si hanno dei menu personalizzati.
Tecnicamente se si rispettano gli aggiornamenti, dalla versione 4.2.1. alla 4.2.2

La versione non è ancora ufficiale. Non mi è arrivata la classica mail. E in pannello di controllo dice: Latest version available: 4.2.1
Su vbulletin.org c'e' pero'.

Ho provato ad aggiornare
Al momento ho trovato i seguenti errori come al solito.
1) Funzione Facebook manda in tilt tutto il forum se non si ha installata la funzione PHP CURL (Prima non succedeva)
2) Molti Plugin disattivati perché generano errori ( Soprattutto quelli della Dbtech)
3) Avviso di sicurezza errato a fine installazione. Non viene specificato cosa dobbiamo cancellare esattamente!

4) Bug ancora presente nell editor avanzato, ( Non va a capo) per gli utilizzatori di Explorer 10
Dopo un intero pomeriggio passato a smanettare ho scoperto che
Vbulletin 4.2.2 rileva del codice obsoleto in moltissimi plugin quando si ha installato nel proprio server php 5.3.x
Attenzione quindi ad aggiornare

a parte questo, non so mica se aggiorno. ne sto leggendo di ogni su vbulletin.com. questi aggiornamenti stanno diventando "pesanti" se ogni volta c'è qualcosa da fare. davvero perplesso per i tanti problemi… anche alla luce della recente ondata di siti hackerati.

Il primo modo non funziona.
Il secondo è praticamente quello che ho specificato nel post precedente.
Serve a nascondere gli errori ma non è un fix
Gli aggiornamenti vanno installati per non rimanere indietro, basterebbe solo che gli autori di Vb testassero gli upgrade almeno con le principali mod e stili grafici piu' comunemente utilizzati prima di renderli pubblici.
Purtroppo questo non avviene mai e tutte le volte creano un bordello enorme.
Non parliamo poi di di quando misero vb5 online la prima volta.
Se non erro hanno gia' pubblicato ben 34 aggiornamenti di cui 28 in versione Beta. :cop:
il messaggio degli errori non si vede più con la modifica al php.
ma come risolvo questo? non mi fa entrare nel cpanel e quel file non lo trovo da nessuna parte

Questo espone ad un rischio di sicurezza quindi cancella quel file immediatamente. Non puoi accedere al Pannello di Controllo finché non lo cancelli.

Aggiornato senza problemi, anche io ho avuto questo problema ma basta eliminare l'intera cartella "Install" ed il problema si risolve.Citazione:

Forse devi prima disabilitare i plugin. classifieds.php non mi pare un file di vbulletin.

Il primo problema l'ho indivituato ed è relativo al plugin che aggiunge pulsanti nella barra dei link, troverò una alternativa.
Mi rimagono le due scritte in aggiorna contatori.
Risolto anche il secondo problema, che ho scoperto appariva anche in ricerca avanzate.
