Htaccess 500 sui link inesistenti. Come posso risolvere?

Salve ragazzi ho da poco configurato htaccess usando il sistema di defoult di vbulletin. Tutto funziona bene, ma se provo ad andare su di un URL inesistente mi da errore 500 internal server. Qui potete provare voi stessi. A dimenticavo sono su Aruba hosting Linux.

L'errore 500 viene perché non hai attivato il modulo rewrite, oppure hai sbagliato la sintassi di un comando in .htaccess

Qaundo è attivo il modulo, ti dovrebbe mostrare una pagina diversa, 404. E a questo punto puoi creare i redirect necessari.
