email

come posso fare??...........il mio bulletin non manda email, e' installato su server linux (slackware ;) ) mesi fa' funzionava tutto perfettamente, a ogni registrazione o messaggi mandava email ora nn piu' nn capisco xche!! :confused:
se faccio la diagnostica mi avverte che c'e' un errore....ma dovee :p

Versione di VB? 3.5.0? Sicuro di aver installato e configurato a dovere un sendmail?

Se stai usando un smtp per inviare la posta accertati che sul server sia configurato ed accetti connessioni locali (da shell fai telnet localhost 25, se riesci ad entrare e vedi il banner del server smtp prova a dare qualche comando a mano, inzia con HELO localhost e vedi che risponde). Se stai usando la 3.5, nelle opzioni generali, disabilita l'invio di email con smtp e riprova.

Altre 2 cose da provare...

- prova a fare la stessa cosa con un utente non root
- fai un tail del file di log di sendmail subito dopo aver fatto un test di invio email "tail /var/log/maillog" o dovunque sia il tuo log di sendmail
