impostazione config su altervista
Salve anzitutto un saluto a tutto il forum sono alle prese con l'installazione di vbulletin 3.6.4 sul server altervista non riesco a configurare il file config quando vado ad installare al 3° passaggio mi sa sempre qualche errore vi riporto di seguito il mio file config se mi dite dove sbaglio per favore

Sembra che il server MySQL non sia sul localhost. Oppure non hai usato il corretto username e password. Oppure il database non si chiama nel modo specificato.
Consiglio di cancellare il database, e rifarlo, con un nuovo username e password. Una volta che sei certo che è tutto corretto, prova a mettere, al posto di localhost, il dominio: mp3online.com, o quello che sia. Alcuni server rispondono a questa sintassi. Questo significherebbe anche, che puoi accedere al database dall'esterno tramite MySQLAdmin, un'utility che puoi scaricare dal sito di MySQL.Giovanni

ho rifatto tutto alla lettera niente da fare
ma dove sbaglio? l'utility che mi dicevi cosa fa? può risolvere il mio prob?

Allora devi chiedere al provider come accedere al database.

grazie ragazzi ho risolto grazie ancora cmq i datiu da inserire nel db sono questi:
- Hostname/server: localhost
- Username: il tuo username
- Password: facoltativa (puoi lasciare il campo vuoto)
- Database: my_mp3online
alla prossima vi lascio il link se magari volete venirmi a trovare sarà pronto in giornata http://mp3online.altervista.org/
